DUES

Regular dues is $50 if paid prior to February 10, 2012.  Dues is now $75 for the 2012 season. Level 1, 2 and 3 will all pay the same amount of NCLRA dues.

New officials will be required to pay a $75 registration fee that does not include your membership dues.

The new official's total cost will be $125 (or $150 if after 2/10/12).  The returning official's total cost will now be $75, as the training and certification fees are covered.  We prefer that you pay us using Paypal.  You don't have to have a Paypal account before you pay, you can create one and pay NCLRA at the same time.  Just click on any Paypal link on this page to check it out.  We accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as bank account deductions.

Referees must pay their certification and training prior to attending NCLRA training in January, 2012.  Membership dues must be paid in order to be assigned to games.  If paid after February 10, dues will go up to $75.

Your contribution enables NCLRA to offer training seminars and materials, covers administrative costs and fees associated with using Internet tools, funding scholarship programs, special events and other costs related to managing the officiating side of this fast growing sport.

TRAVEL POLICY

NCLRA will not be paying travel expenses in 2012.  With the increase in game fees, travel costs are no longer reimburseable.  The NCJLA organization's travel policy is per contract, and travel expenses will be paid in 2012, however game fees will not change.  Check with  Alex Snaider for details.

Some events will have an individual travel policy assigned for that event.  For example, hotel rooms or transportation may be reimbursed for particular games.  When this happens, we'll advise the assigned referees of the appropriate reimbursement process.

PERFORMANCE POLICIES

NCLRA officials at all levels are held to a high standard of conduct and performance.  We are paid for the product we deliver, and to further the sport and continue a good relationship with our clients, we must subscribe to a set of appropriate behaviors and standards, much like those you see in a corporate handbook.  To avoid losing your standing as a Level 2 or 3 NCLRA official, subscribe to the guidelines below.   Level 1 officials are subject to a 3 Strike Rule Policy, described here.

CIF and MDOC Performance and Conduct Guidelines for all Officials:

> Level 2 and 3 officials must use the Arbiter to keep your contact, availability and assignment information up to date.

> Report to all games to which you are assigned and have accepted.

> Arrive 30 minutes prior to each game, and no less than 10 minutes before each game.  "R" officials must arrive 30 minutes prior to game time. Arrivals after game starts means partial or complete forfeiture of pay for that game.

> Provide no less than a 48 hour notice to Assignor if you are unable to meet your game obligations.  If you provide notice less than 48 hours in advance, you are responsible for finding your own replacement.  If you are unable to find a replacement, report the problem to the Assignor as soon as possible.  Repeated issues in this area will risk your dismissal from the NCLRA organization.

> Report for game duty clean and sober, and in appropriate and complete uniform.  Reference page 8 of the US Lacrosse MDOC Officials Training Program Manual 2008/2009 (copyright).

PLEASE NOTE:  There are circumstances such as gross misconduct while in uniform or game no shows without notice which could warrant immediate dismissal from the organization.  Gross misconduct includes game no shows without cancelling, and reporting for games under the influence of alcohol, or an illegal or abused substance.  These will be handled on a case by case basis.
